Conscious Sedation

Fear of having dental work done has kept many from seeking dental help until the situation has become hopeless or too painful to continue to ignore.  Often, the time commitment for multiple appointments hampers many busy individuals from pursuing comprehensive treatment.

This office utilizes a well-documented sedation protocol that allows us to do comprehensive dental treatment in a minimal number of appointments with the patient deeply sedated and safe.  (Note:  This is not general anesthesia where you are essentially on monitored life support functions.)

Our sedation routine has been utilized in hundreds of cases without accidents and the patient has minimal to no recollection of the procedure due to an amnesia quality of the drugs utilized.  Our case types can range from full mouth reconstruction of natural teeth to the removal of all the remaining unhealthy teeth and denture placement with implant or tooth retained lower dentures.

Depending on the level of patient anxiety, sedations can vary from light for short procedures to very deep for extensive cases. Our office has CD discs and brochures describing this sedation as well as patient descriptions of their experience.  Please call our office for this information.
